Starkey Chief Audiology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Strategy Sara Burdak, Au.D., Named to 2021 Notable Women in Manufacturing List

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (December 9, 2021) – Starkey Chief Audiology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Strategy, Sara Burdak, Au.D., has been named to Twin Cities Business Magazine's 2021 Notable Women in Manufacturing list. This list is a special editorial feature in Twin Cities Business, profiling women professionals in manufacturing who have shown the ability to effect change, demonstrated a willingness to share expertise, and exhibited leadership in specific initiatives or programs at their companies or institutions which have created significant, positive, and measurable results.

Dr. Burdak joined Starkey as an audiologist on the Hearing Research and Technology team in 1999. For over two decades, she has worked to bring impactful programs to Starkey’s global customer base. She is responsible for developing and aligning Starkey’s global audiology strategy as it relates to education and training programs, the Department of Veterans Affairs and customer and industry relations. The American Academy of Audiology honored Dr. Burdak as a Fellow and a 2020 Academy Scholar for excellence and dedication to the profession. In 2021, she gave the opening remarks at the Student Academy of Audiology Conference and was a Silver Globee Winner for the Excellence in Industry Woman of the Year awards in the Manufacturing category.
