Starkey Named Manufacturer of the Year

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (July 18, 2023) – Starkey is proud to announce that it has been named this year’s Small/Medium Enterprise Manufacturer of the Year as part of the Manufacturing Leadership Awards. This highly prestigious award is given to the most elite manufacturers in the world, and marks the fourth award won by Starkey from the Manufacturing Leadership Council this year alone – including two accolades given to Starkey’s manufacturing team for excellence in custom-made hearing aids and equipment management systems, and a third awarded to Starkey’s Materials General Supervisor, Gloria Belem Hernandez, for next-generation leadership.

“This recognition is especially meaningful because it celebrates our commitment to improving lives through the manufacturing of hearing aids,” said Heinz Ruch, Chief Operations Officer at Starkey. “The team's dedication, expertise, and passion have propelled us to push boundaries, constantly improving our hearing aids to provide the best possible solutions.”

With manufacturing at its center, the team at Starkey continues to improve operations daily to deliver world-class products that enhance the lives of people with hearing loss. As part of Starkey’s ongoing commitment to being a leader in technology and operations, the team strives to be better today than yesterday, and better tomorrow than today. Successful implementation relies on manager support, such has been shown by Ruch. With his leadership, the manufacturing team has made incredible improvements to the way they work and helped maintain Starkey’s position as a leader in custom hearing aids, which it has upheld for over 50 years.
