Most new hearing aids are designed to be water resistant and can handle a certain amount of moisture and sweat. Still, like most computerized devices, prolonged exposure to water and grime will cause irreversible damage. Thus, you should remove your hearing aids before:
- Showering or bathing
- Swimming
- Enjoying a sauna
- Using a hair dryer
- Applying hair spray or other types of spray-on products. Apply hair products first, and then insert your hearing aids after.
- Going to bed
