#HearingFactFriday: Hearing aids are the best treatment for hearing loss

The World Health Organization (WHO), which estimates 360 million people worldwide have disabling hearing loss, also notes that “early detection and intervention are crucial to minimizing the impact of hearing loss.”

We’ve written plenty about the “impact” they talk about, including increased risk of hospitalizations, falling, and even dementia.

The good news? Early detection is simple and easy — starting with an online hearing test — and intervention is also readily available through a local hearing professional, which you can find by clicking here.

WHO goes on to note that “people with hearing loss benefit from use of hearing aids,” giving you added incentive to intervene.
