#HearingFactFriday: Regular hearing tests are recommended

We’ve told you plenty how your chances of hearing loss increase as you age. (Here’s one example.) That’s why this recommendation, from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, makes sense. 

They think it’s wise to test your hearing on a regular basis — especially after 50 — to stay on top of any hearing loss. While hearing loss isn’t usually as obvious as vision and other physical changes, it is equally integral to our quality of life, as it’s linked to dementia, falls, social isolation and more.
