Just when you thought Starkey’s hearing technology had reached the summit of possibility—we top it with a hearing aid that pushes the edge of what’s possible in both better hearing and living—Edge AI.
From their pure, clean sound and dependable durability to their multiple health, wellness and convenience features, Edge AI hearing aids put you, the hearing aid wearer, in control of each day.
Let’s explore what it means to have “the edge” in your everyday—with Edge AI.
An edge you can count on
Having an edge means wearing technology that exceeds every expectation you have of hearing aids. It’s innovation that helps you hear better in all situations and is reliable no matter what. This is what Edge AI is about.
How Edge AI technology works
Listening, as you can imagine, is a complex process. But it's one that a "normal-hearing" brain handles effortlessly. Unfortunately, this process breaks down when we have hearing loss. This is where the groundbreaking technology of Edge AI comes in—to help fix this broken process by mimicking the brain's auditory cortex.
It classifies complex soundscapes. Enhances speech. And reduces noise in real-time with advanced and powerful AI built into each hearing aid.
And the benefits of Edge AI don’t stop there:
- All-day battery life
Enjoy up to 51 hours*—even when you stream.
- Reduced listening effort and fatigue
Unrivaled clarity makes listening and understanding easier.
- Advanced speech identification
We’re talking 30% higher accuracy than previous technology.
- Easy streaming of calls and music
Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) Audio connectivity makes it happen.
- Unstoppable durability
Edge AI are waterproof**, sweatproof, everyday proof.
All of this, built into one modern, discreet, all-day-comfortable hearing aid tailored to your unique hearing needs by a licensed hearing care professional.
What more could you want? We thought you’d never ask.
Hear better in noise
The toughest listening situations for people with hearing loss are noisy environments like restaurants, crowded events, or parties, right? Well, they have nothing on Edge AI’s speed, precision and power designed to bring clarity to such chaotic conditions.
Trained on millions of sounds to distinguish those of interest (like someone talking to you) from distracting noises (like clanks, hums or others’ conversations), the AI inside Edge AI focuses on the “good” sounds while diminishing the “bad,” to deliver a cleaner, purer signal no matter where you are.
This includes unpredictable situations where noise unexpectedly becomes louder, from sporting events to family gatherings. Simply connect Edge AI with the My Starkey app to access Edge Mode—the on-demand feature that allows you to zero-in on speech in any challenging environment.

Future-forward connectivity
Starkey will never cease in the pursuit of greater connections for hearing aid wearers—which is why Edge AI integrates the Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio streaming protocol. This uses less power and delivers the next-generation connectivity standard across electronics everywhere.
What this means for us: Edge AI hearing aids will pair more easily, connect more quickly, stream more robustly, and are Auracast™ ready—linking you to better sound quality in places like movie theaters, airports, places of worship, and more.
Better hearing for all—just ask hearing aid wearers themselves
Real people, from conventional to tech-savvy, are experiencing real-life transformations—thanks to Edge AI hearing technology. Just ask these actual wearers of Edge AI hearing aids:
Brian of Minnesota, a music venue owner:
“Being able to pull up your phone to make a quick adjustment is just incredible.”
Louisiana-based Renee, an aerospace engineer and avid kayaker:
“This technology is leaps and bounds on where it was two years ago.”
